With proud bITa Center – the independent international knowledge hub for Business IT Alignment issues – presents its third edition of Mejores Prácticas en la Gestión de TI in Spain. Where 2006 was a watershed in Spain with regard to IT management issues, 2007 showed a number of new topics that are important for many (IT) organisations in Spain and elsewhere. The focus for 2008 will be the changing role of IT in organisations. Apart from whether ITIL V3 is really necessary, we will also cover topics like the increasing emphasize on professionalizing demand management, retained organisation with outsourcing, corporate governance of IT and assessing the value of IT.

With almost 300 participants of which over 50% of senior level (CIO, CEO, IT management, IT auditors, etc), we are sure that the third edition will show a growing interest in this field of expertise and that it will expand the success of 2007. A growing number of organisations in Spain have recognised that ITIL and other Best Practice Frameworks are more and more the key to IT management and for a number of business processes. To learn quickly the adoption of international best practices can be pivotal to many IT dependent organisations like banks, insurance companies, governmental organisations, industry, health sector, etc. Like last year the conference targets a high level audience and it will feature both national and international speakers.

The conference will have a similar setup as last year. It will feature a 3 track programme with some top keynotes. Extra focus this year will be on the CIO Agenda 2008/2009. 5 top CIO´s from large organisations in Spain will be interviewed in a plenary session, share views and unveil their visions.
We will extend the workshop programme during the pre-conference programme. It goes without saying that you can mix & mingle and rub shoulders on the exhibition that will be open during the whole day.
